Real AI data: crawler fetches, AI visits, real questions
optmz shows real AI activity on a client's site: verified AI assistant fetches, visits referred by AI tools, and real questions.
What real AI data covers
Tracked questions show what AI engines say when optmz asks. Real AI data shows what happened on the client's own site: verified AI assistant fetches, visits referred by AI tools, and the questions real people asked where a source exposes them. It's the evidence that sits outside any simulation.
| Data | Where it comes from | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| AI crawler and assistant fetches | The client's server or CDN logs, each fetch checked against the operator's published IP ranges | Which pages ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and others fetched, for training, search or a live user request |
| AI-referred visits | A small tracking tag on the client's site | Visits that came from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI tools, and their landing pages |
| Real questions | Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools AI data the client connects | Questions people asked in AI Mode and the searches Copilot ran, where those tools expose them |
Verified, not guessed
A user-agent string is easy to fake, so a fetch counts as an AI assistant's only when its IP address is in the range the operator publishes. A fetch shows the page and the assistant, never the user's question. Visit tracking records the path only, never query strings.
AI conversations
For pages that real AI users reached, optmz shows the likely question and the AI reply the page appeared in. When optmz had to write the question itself, it says so: it is not a user's exact words. The AI crawler list explains what each bot does.
